Hello! Great site!
You should come up to Fossumbrua, the bridge between Askim og Spydeberg. Here you can walk Langnesstien along Glomma. This is a great track from Fossum to Langnes skanse where we fought the Swedes some 200 years ago. At Fossum you also can see some bunkers used during the German invasion WW2- and here you also find a monument over the norwegians who were killed in hard fights there in april 1940.

I should definitely try to come to Østfold, since your site is filled with gorgeous pictures of the place. I’ve apparently come across one of the best-looking sites on the Internet for all things Østfold and Norway. Your site is an absolute treasure trove of USEFUL information and richly-detailed pictures (can’t believe these beautiful places even exist! better than the expensive travel books:) for anyone both experienced or just starting out in experiencing the country and culture, especially the southern part, all in a neat and well-organized website.

Thank you so much for this, you made my day! Looks like you’re just about as passionate about Østfold as I am. That’s great!! And yes of course you must come back! What an amazing blog you have, Moose !
I have travelled across Østfold in the past, but I didn’t know that there is so much to be done or seen up there! Thanks to you, I realise that I must absolutely come back again.

I have a sentimental attachment to this place : the landscapes in the countryside as well as the views on the coastlines are beautiful indeed, but above all, the people I have met in Østfold are among the kindest I have known. (I hope you’ll tell them, they deserve it !).
And Fredrikstad is not only a lovely and pleasant town : I also remember it as the place where happened one of the funniest events of my life, involving an unfortunate drunken soldier (I not sure the story is worth telling, though) !

I hope I’ll have the chance to thank you some day (with a drink in Gamlebyen, for instance ?) in recognition of all the very useful information that you kindly share here.

You’re absolutely right about Hadeland Galleri… I haven’t been (yet) but I’ve heard about it, I meant to check out the exhibition by Armand Bentzen there a couple of months ago but somehow missed it… I’ll add it to my (ever-growing) list of places to visit!
